Composite Crowns :

They don’t chip easily and look natural. They do wear out more easily and can be stained as brushing the teeth removes the highly polished surface of the crown.

Metal Crowns :

These are made of gold and last a long time. The only drawback is that they do not look natural and are generally used on back teeth.

Porcelain Crowns :

These looks the most natural, however are used generally on the front teeth due to their tendency to chip more easily than the metal or composite crowns.

Porcelain fused to metal crowns:

These look natural and are stronger than the other crowns. Sometimes, however, the metal can show if the gums are thin or have shrunk.
